The beer festival takes place in Kanezuka park which is a two minute walk from the West exit of JR and Tobu Omiya Station. For anyone coming to Saitama for the Rugby World Cup matches in Kumagaya stadium, Omiya station can be reached from Kumagaya station on the JR Takasaki line. It takes between 30 and 38 minutes. If you have a JR pass or want to pay to use the bullet train, it takes only 13 minutes on the shinkansen.
Saitama Beer Festa organizers request that you do not drive to the festival. Even if you aren’t planning to drink alcohol, there is no parking at the site for this event.
In the area:
Multipurpose Omiya Park and Saitama Prefectural Museum of History and Folklore.
The very excellent Omiya Railway Station worth a visit even if you aren’t that into trains.
For people with small kids (preschoolers), Kidzooona (yes it has 3 “o”s) is well worth a visit too.

Also, if there is a typhoon or other unforeseen circumstances, there is a chance this event will be postponed, shortened or even cancelled.
Events by their very nature are tentative. Please do check with the official sources for any last minute changes due to weather or other mitigating factors.
