Cosmos Festival in Konosu

Each year to mark the blooming of 12,000,000 cosmos in the Arawaka riverbed area of Konosu City there is a 2 day festival near the flower fields. The festival includes stage events, a farmers market, festival stalls and a flea market.
You can walk atop Japan’s longest water pipe bridge for a bird’s eye view of the millions of cosmos CANCELLED ON THE 20TH DUE TO WEATHER
Address: 636-1 Myoyo, Konosu, Saitama
5 minute bus ride on “Flower Bus” （フラワーバス）from JR Takasaki Line Fukiage station （ＪＲ高崎線吹上駅)
toward Kita Kounosu (北鴻巣行き), alight at Cosmos Arena Fukiage （コスモスアリーナふきあげ）.
11 kilometres from the Higashimatsuyama Interchange of the Kanetsu Expressway.
Konosu has a lot of famous events on over the year as well as some other low key ones. Among their annual famous events are the Guinness World Record holding Konosu Fireworks and Japan’s tallest Hina (Doll) display:
