Cosmos Festival | KONOSU
October 27, 2018 @ 09:00 - October 28, 2018 @ 16:00
Cosmos Festival in KonosuLast year due to a typhoon the event was cancelled last minute, along with my plans to finally see the Cosmos from atop Japan’s longest water pipe bridge. I have seen the cosmos from the fields, but was looking forward to the bird’s eye view. Hopefully, this year I can cross that off my bucket list. Each year to mark the blooming of 12,000,000 cosmos in the Arawaka riverbed area of Konosu City there is a 2 day festival near the flower fields. It is during this period that you are allowed walk on the water pipe bridge (weather permitting) between the hours of 9.30 am and 3 pm. This is a free event. The festival includes stage events, a farmers market, festival stalls and a flea market. Images from the official website Address: 636-1 Myoyo, Konosu, Saitama Access: Public Transport: 5 minute bus ride on “Flower Bus” （フラワーバス）from JR Takasaki Line Fukiage station （ＪＲ高崎線吹上駅) toward Kita Kounosu (北鴻巣行き), alight at Cosmos Arena Fukiage （コスモスアリーナふきあげ）. Car: 11 kilometres from the Higashimatsuyama Interchange of the Kanetsu Expressway.
