Cocoon City Halloween Events | SAITAMA
September 30 - October 31Free
Cocoon City Halloween – Cocoon City have had a Halloween Parade for the last few years, but since 2017 they have increased the number of parades as well as the number of Halloween events. This year, like the last two years, Cocoon City will have not only one day of Halloween festivities, but many events over the month of October outlined below. The main weekend of celebrations is October 13th and 14th, more details below.
Halloween Photo Spots
September 30th to October 31st
The Halloween period at Cocoon city starts from September 30th this year and will run until October 31st. During this period there will be a Halloween photo spot in Cocoon2 first floor’s Omotenashi Plaza. On October 26th and 27th they have a photographer on hand to take photos at the Halloween booth for the first 100 people in line with receipt of purchases in Cocoon City of a value of 1000 yen or over.
October 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th.
Cocoon have several Halloween workshops scheduled for the period. And most of them are very different to what they had on offer last year. The majority of the events have a charge to cover the cost of materials, but there are a few that are free.
Free Halloween crafts include a ghost craft with masking tape and a resin casting accessory craft. The ghost craft is on both October 26th and 27th and the resin casting craft is on the afternoon October 12th.
You can also make a Halloween wreath or a candle stick for “free”, if you have receipts for 1000 yen or more of purchases at Cocoon city on the days of those events. The wreaths are being made on October 5th and 6th and the candles on the 13th and 14th.
Halloween Parades and Trick or Treat
October 13th and 14th
The Halloween parades and trick or treat events are much earlier in the month this year. They will be celebrated on Sunday October 13th and bank holiday Monday 14th. There are four parades each day and each parade will facilitate 100 trick-or-treaters.
The parade times this year are at 10.30 am, 12 noon, 1.30 pm and 3 pm each day. The parade last about 30 minutes. This is a free event. They will distribute participation tickets from the 1st floor Cocoon Plaza in Cocoon 1 from 10 am each morning. Buggies / strollers not permitted.
Cocoon have a trick or treat campaign on the same days as the parade. They will be giving out candy to 500 kids each day. You need a Halloween card to participate. Like the tickets for the parade, the cards are distributed from the 1st floor Cocoon plaza in Cocoon 1 from 10 am both mornings.
Other Halloween events in Cocoon City
There is a Halloween sweets buffet in Rurururu Okashi San on the 1st floor of Cocoon 2 on bank holiday Monday October 14th.

Cocoon City is open from 10 am to 9 pm, seven days a week.
By train: Depending on which building it takes between 3 and 7 minutes walk from Keihin Tohoku, Takasaki and Utsunomiya Line’s JR Saitama shintoshin Station and about an 8 minute walk from JR Kitayono Station.
By car: Cocoon City is located very close to the Saitama Shintoshin exit of the Metropolitan Expressway Saitama Shintoshin Route. Cocoon 2 has parking on its roof as well as in an adjacent car park, Cocoon City parking number 3. Parking is charged at 200 yen per 30 minutes. However, if you spend between a 1000 and 2000 yen in Cocoon city on the same day you get one hour free parking, or two hours free for over 2000 yen.
