Happy Spring Festa | NAMEGAWA
April 20 @ 09:30 - May 26 @ 17:00Yen450
Every year Shinrin Park host one of the longest “spring festivals”. They split it into two. The first part “Happy Spring Festival” just finished a couple a weeks ago on April 6th. And now part two “Happy Spring Festa” starts this weekend: on Saturday April 20th. It will run until May 26th.
It is not a festival in the sense of a “matsuri”, but a spring festival celebrating flora and fauna with some seasonal activities and several events planned during the period. Currently the icelandic poppies, the nemophila and the lupine are in bloom. During this, the second half, the festa as opposed to the festival, the Golden Week celebrations also fall.
For the opening weekend they don’t have a particular spring fair event, but there are a few different events on such as horse riding through the 700,000 icelandic poppies.
However, the majority of the events and the seasonal food are available during the Golden week celebrations, such as Outdoor Park:
The splash pools will also open during that week – the start of Golden Week. And you can book a barbecue during the Golden week period too. There are three free days over Golden week as well: on April 29th, May 1st and May 4th the park will be free in for everyone.
