The 1st ever Kawaguchi Fireworks
May 18 @ 18:30 - 19:30Free
The first ever Kawaguchi fireworks have been scheduled for Saturday May 18th 2019. Although, officially in one way they are not the first; the area had a tradition of summer firework displays between 1952 and 1959. Sixty years later they have revived the tradition.
The event is organised by the Kawaguchi Chamber of Commerce and Industry with support from the Kawaguchi Tourist board.
They expect to launch approximately 7,000 fireworks from the Arakawa Sports Park. The fireworks will be launched between 6.30 pm and 7.30 pm. However, there will be food stalls and other attractions on the day.
Spectating is free, but if you would like to book a seat in a special reserved area you can already do that on their website.
For more firework and general events in the Saitama area, please see the main events calendar.
The Kawaguchi fireworks display is the second fireworks display of 2019 in Saitama. The first will be on April 6th in Ranzan as part of the Ranzan Cherry blossom festival.
We hope fans of the Rugby World Cup 2019 can sample a taste of what this beautiful country of Japan has to offer, while enjoying the games. We wish all teams and all supporters the very best, but…
