This year the theme is “fantastic carnvial magic box”. About 150 trees are decorated in the night lights. In previous years they have used mainly blue, white and champagne gold lights. This year they are planning to go with more colors. Last year they increased the number of lights used to 500,000 and the same is expected this year. The illumination will be set to music.
Generally the illumination will be on from 5 pm, but for the “switch on” event
it starts from 6 pm. There are live performances scheduled for the count down to switch on.
There are a number of other events running in conjunction with this event. For example, the Keyaki Hiroba Christmas Market
from November 25th. Also, there will be Christmas concerts on various dates: you can find all the information in the main event pages for Saitama.
