Miyashiro Dolls Festival

March 2 @ 10:00 - 16:00

Miyashiro Dolls Festival

The Miyashiro Dolls Festival will be held on Saturday March 2nd from 10 am to 4 pm.

The event is held in the Miyoshiro Machi Community Centre “Shinshukan”, an architectural treasure of Miyashiro. The colonnade is painted a purply beige to represent one of the things Miyashiro is famous for: grapes. (Of course what Miyashiro is most famous for is the Tobu Zoo.) There are even grapes in some of the tiles on the floor. The building was designed by “Atlier Zo” a team of designers and architects based in Hokkaido. They have designed buildings all over the world and received several awards for their works.

Miyashiro Dolls Festival

The Miyashiro dolls festival event is very family friendly with activities and crafts for children. There is also an opportunity to try on a kimono. And there are about 15 food stalls from local restaurants or shops. The first 1000 visitors will receive a special Hina Dolls Festival candy!

Miyashiro Dolls Festival Access

Shinshukan is a five minute walk from the Tobu Skytree Line Tobu Dobutsuen Koen station west exit.
