Sun City Illumination and Switch On Event | KOSHIGAYA
November 10, 2018 @ 17:00 - February 28, 2019 @ 22:00
Sun City Illumination
This year the Sun City night illumination will be on from November 10th until February 28th 2019 from 5 pm to 10 pm (the switch on event has slightly different hours outlined below). A couple of years ago they increased the number of lights used, from 12,000 to 70,000 lights, making it one of the bigger ones in Saitama.
Sun City Switch on event
The switch on event for the Sun City Illumination has really metmorphosed over the last few years. The occasion is now a two day event. On the Saturday when the lights get turned on, the event starts from 4 pm with an opening ceremony and gospel performance. There will be a number of events through the evening with closing around 8 pm.
The next day the celebrations continue with more performances and events from 11 am to 4 pm. There is a marche on that day too with about 20 food stalls.
