Treasure Hunting | KAWAGOE

Kawagoe Housing Stage have a treasure hunting (treasure mining) event on Sunday March 10th four times between the hours of 11 am and 4 pm. The event comprises two separate treasure hunt activities and several surprises.

Treasure Mining

The first event (for children only) is treasure or gem mining: sifting for treasure in sand. The first session of this event is at 11 am the second time at noon, the third at 1.30 pm and the fourth and final time at 2.30 pm.

Each time the treasure hunting event runs for about half an hour. They take up to 20 participants at the one time for a total of 80 participants over the course of the day. Children sift through sand to find jewels.

It is a free event and children get to take home up to three of the “jewels” they find. Furthermore, they have a special prize for anyone who finds one of the minuet keys hidden amongst the sand.

Parent and child mystery solving hunt

They also have a mystery event for parents and kids. In this event children and their parent have to search for coins. If you find all the coins you will get the present of a waffle. Inside the waffle is a chocolate jewel!

This treasure hunting event takes place at Kawagoe Housing Stage in Arajuku. Kawagoe housing stage is a model home park relatively close to Westa kawagoe and Kawagoe Unicus. It’s about a 20 minute walk from Kawagoe Station west exit.
