Trick 3D Art Exhibition at Sayama Museum | SAYAMA
March 10, 2018 @ 09:00 - May 13, 2018 @ 17:00￥150
Trick Art Exhibition
The Sayama Municipal Museum is known for its kid friendly exhibitions. Particularly in the spring they tend to have exhibitions that kids not only enjoy, but really want to go to. This year the spring exhibition is no exception. They have a Trick 3D Art exhibition scheduled from March 10th to mid May on the days the museum is open, which is Tuesdays to Sundays. CLOSED MONDAYS.
The trick art exhibition is quite small, but there is enough for some fun photos. There are about 13 exhibits in which you can take a trick photo and there is double that in trick photography displays. My four kids aged 8, 7, 5 and 3 years old really enjoyed posing for the trick photography. They have a sign showing you where to stand for optimum effect. However, with my Canon camera it was the wrong spot! It was perfect for the smart phone camera though.
There is a little cafe in the museum that is quite nice. They have children’s meals and kaki-kori (shaved ice). There is a nice view of Inariyama Park from the cafe. The park is quite nice for small kids with lots of manicured lawns and recently they added a playground suited to toddlers.

The museum is a 3 minute walk from the Inariyama kouen station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line or you can get a bus from the west exit of the Seibu Shinjuku Line Sayama City Station to Inariyama koen.
It is about a 15 minute from the Sayama Interchange of the Ken-o expressway or 20 minutes from the Kawagoe Interchange of the Kanetsu expressway. The museum and the restaurant share parking and it is free. Spaces are quite limited in the car park beside the museum, so it is not uncommon to have to wait for a parking space to come free. However, you can also use the park’s car park and walk over.
