Urawa Misono Festival and Fireworks | MIDORI KU
October 28, 2017 @ 10:00 - 18:00
Halloween plus Fireworks: A 3-in-1 celebration: Halloween, Festival and Fireworks. This event is relatively new. It started three years ago. It is conducted on the main thoroughfare from Urawa Misono Station and in the station itself. Urawa Misono station is the terminus of the 14.6 km long Saitama Rapid Railway Line from Akabane-iwabuchi in Kita Ward, Tokyo.
The festival starts at 11 am. However, there are workshops starting even before that. From 10 am there is face painting, Halloween nails and other workshops taking place on the second floor concourse of the station. The rare opportunity to tour the railyard also starts at that time. These two events run until 3 pm. The railway will arrange a number of other events between 10 am to 4.30 pm. The stage show starts at 2 pm and there are a number of different performers scheduled.
The railway has a number of other surprises on the day such as the opportunity to get a remberance ticket. There will also be a group photo. And for those that arrive in costume there will be a gift of some candy. There are festival stalls on the main thoroughfare selling food and drink.
Halloween plus fireworks
The fireworks show starts from 5.30 pm for about half an hour.
