This year Kamikawa Town will have their annual cosmos festival for the first time in four years. As far as I am aware it is the first time in four years. Kamikawa is a beautiful mountain town in Northern Saitama, on the border of Gunma. It is home to a very special, famous shrine, one of only three of its kind in all of Japan. In addition, its also famed for its winter cherry blossoms, also on one of three list – a top three! The winter cherry blossoms should be starting to bloom around the time this festival is on!
Kamikawa Cosmos Festival
The Cosmos Festival is a festival co-sponsored by Kamikawa Town and the Kamikawa Town Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The festival features a variety of content, including a live stage with presentations of performing arts from within and outside the town. In addition, they have an exhibition and sales corner run by local companies and organizations at the industrial booth, a mock shop corner, and a raffle for fun. The town mascots, a God and a pear, also make an appearance!
