ageo illumination

The Ageo Illumination dates for winter 2023 to 2024 have been set. This year they are introducing a new installation as well.

Ageo Illumination

In 2019 for the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Ageo city, the annual night light displays were bigger than ever. Before 2019 the illumination was only around the station. But in the winter of 2019 – 2020 for the anniversary they also had illumination at the city’s two largest children’s centers: children’s castle and Appiland and it will be the same in 2023. And as the city is approaching its 65th anniversary, they will also have a new feature this year. They haven’t revealed what it is yet! (As of November 5th 2023).

Ageo Illumination Events

They normally hold at least a couple of events on other nights during the illumination period. The only one that has been confirmed so far is the opening event. The switch on event is on the first night, November 18th. They usually have a mini concert music performance from the local fire brigade band and there is usually a market.
