The Sai no Kuni Cake Show is scheduled for the first time in four years. There are a few changes in 2023. Such as a new date and a new location. They used to hold the event in June, before the pandemic. This year (2023) they will host it in July. In addition, the location has been moved from Sonic City to the Omiya Sweets and Cafe Vocational School.
Sai no Kuni Cake Show
Several bakers and patisseries participate in this annual cake show. You can see dozens of ornately decorated cakes on display. There is free entry into the event area for everyone. Cakes have individual prices. They have workshops where you can try making your own sweets and / or cakes. There are sweets galore for sale. In addition, they have a cafe area where you can buy a cake set (cake and drink). Before the pandemic it was 600 yen. They have not yet confirmed the price for 2023.

Access
About a six minute walk from the West exit of Omiya Station. It takes less than half an hour on a train from Ikebukuro, Shinjuku and Ueno to Omiya Station. By car it is about a kilometer from the Shintoshin Nishi Interchange of the Shuto expressway Omiya line.
