12 million cosmos bloom in Konosu annually. They have a flower festival during the period where you can enjoy festival food stalls and live entertainment. They usually have a picking event too.
On fixed dates during the festival period they offer spectators the chance to go up on Japan’s largest water bridge which extends across the cosmos fields, to get a panaroma view of the Konosu cosmos.
Date: generally the festival is on the middle weekend of October

Its an approximate 20 minutes from the Kumagaya Rugby World Cup stadium. 11 kilometres from the Higashimatsuyama Interchange of the Kanetsu Expressway.

Yoshimi Cosmos Fields

They also have scarecrows displayed during the festival. Scarecrows are typically displayed in September in Japan, so it is a treat to be able to see them in October in Yoshimi.
