Autumn Leaves Light up Shinrin Park – Also known as Musashi Kyuryo National Goverment Park, Shinrin Park is a 304 hectare park in Namegawa, rural Saitama. You can enjoy night illumination here at the central gate area, three different times during autumn and winter annually.

Shinrin Park Night Illumination

The Halloween Night Light up is the first which ends early November, usually on November 3rd which is Culture day, a public holiday, in Japan. Once the Halloween night illumination is over they set up for the Autumn Leave light up illumination which is available mid November to early December. Finally, the winter night illumination runs in December and early January.

Autumn Leaves Light Up Shinrin Park

Mostly the night illumination at Shinrin Park is limited to the weekend. However, unlike the Starlight and Halloween illumination, the Autumn leaves light up is available on weekdays for two weeks during the light up period. This year that will be from November 16th to December 1st (on the days the park is open), but please note the night shuttle bus is only available on the weekends during that period. The illumination is also on the weekend of November 9th which will co-incides with Outdoor Park which is on the 9th and 10th this year.

Autumn Leaves Light up Shinrin Park is available when the weather is suitable.  They don’t open the park on nights that it is raining. They announce by 2 pm on their website whether the park will be closed that night or not. You will find the link in the grey details box below the “related posts” at the bottom of this event.  During the Autumn Leaves Light up Shinrin Park the park is open from 4.30 pm to 8.30 pm in November and for the few days in December that the illumination is on it is open from 4 pm.
