Bustival Heisei no Mori Park
November 23, 2019 @ 09:30 - 14:30Free
Bustival – a contraction of bus festival – will be on in Kawajima’s Heisei No Mori park on Saturday November 23rd 2019. And as the name implies it is a festival celebrating buses! All different types of buses will be at the festival for the occasion.
The festival starts at 9.30 am and runs until 2.30 pm. On the same day there is an agricultural fair and market in the park.
Some pictures from last year:
Heisei No Mori is a small, but engaging park in the rural town of Kawajima. There is a great playground there for children. The park is home to the longest rose tunnel in Japan.

Due to its remote location and the lack of a train in the town of Kawajima, the park is a little tricky to get to by public transport. The easiest way is to take a Tobu Tojo bus to Wakaba station and get a bus bound for the Kawajima town office from that station.
Bus times: 8.45 am, 9.25 am, 10.15 am, 11 am, 1.10 pm, 1.40 pm, 2.40 pm and 3.10 pm.
The return bus times: 10.15 am, 11.05 am, 11.50 am, 2 pm, 2.30 pm, 3.30 pm and 4 pm.
You can also get a bus from Kawagoe station bound for Konosu License Center and alight at Yatsubayashi and walk 20 minutes to the park.
The festival will also be held once more in Tokorozawa Aviation park on Sunday December 8th 10 am to 3 pm.
Events by their very nature are tentative. Please do check with the official sources for any last minute changes due to weather or other mitigating factors, particularly with the current Coronavirus outbreak.
