Ken and Julia Yonetani Exhibition at Kadcul
November 6 @ 10:00 – March 7 @ 18:00
That is why I want to be saved a Ken and Julia Yonetani exhibition at Kadokawa Musashino Museum, also known as the Kadokawa Culture Museum (Kadcul), in the Tokorozawa Sakura Town.
Ken and Julia Yonetani Exhibition
The Ken and Julia Yonetani Exhibition will be the first exhibition in the Edit and Art Gallery of the Kadokawa Culture Museum in Sakura Town. The start date of the exhibition will coincide with the grand opening of Sakura Town on Friday November 6th. It will run until Sunday March 7th. (Please note the gallery is closed on Tuesdays).
Information about the event has just been released so the finer details are not yet available, but they intend to have talks by the artists on select dates during the exhibition. There will also be child friendly workshops centered on microorganisms.
Ken and Julia Yonetani
Ken + Julia Yonetani’s work explores the interaction between humans, nature, science and the spiritual realm in the contemporary age, unearthing and visualizing hidden connections between people and their environment. Their installations work within an interdisciplinary field, inspiring responses through all five senses – sight, smell, taste, hearing and touch. They incorporate performance and prompt the viewerFrom the artist’s official website
through immersive interaction at the most basic of levels. The connection between audience and environment is undeviating within a powerful aesthetic. Their work is highly accessible, attracting international acclaim and widespread attention for its combination of aesthetics and nuanced expression of contemporary issues.
Edit and Art Gallery
The Edit and Art Gallery is just one of several exhibition spaces in the Kadokawa Culture Museum, nicknamed Kadcul for short. It is on the fourth floor of Kadcul, along with Edit Town and the “Aramata Treasure House”. There are also two lecture rooms on the floor.
