GW events at Disaster Prevention Learning Center

Golden Week events at the Saitama Prefectural Disaster Prevention Learning Center —
The Saitama Prefectural Disaster Prevention Learning Center is in Konosu City. It is a free educational center with several hands on experiences that teach children and adults how to prepare for any disaster. You can experience an earthquake, typhoon and fire by way of a simulator.
During Golden Week (GW) 2019 the center has several events on for children:

Fire fighter dress up
For the whole period of the 2019 extended Golden Week, from April 27th to May 6th, children can get dressed up in firemen clothing and get their photo taken in front of a fire engine.
On Monday the 29th only, kids can also operate a real fire hose with the help of the Konosu Fire Brigade. A ticket is needed to participate in this event. More information (Japanese only).
Also on for the entire period is a quiz rally. Each day they draw five of the submitted completed correct quiz answer sheets for a small prize.
From Tuesday April 30th to Friday May 3rd, there is a maze made out of cardboard on the 3rd floor.
They have a bouncy castle in the design of a fire engine from Saturday May 4th to bank holiday Monday May 6th. Children from the age of three to the age of twelve can use it. It will be available between 10 am and noon, and again from 1 pm to 3 pm.
Crafts, demos and talks
Apart from all the events listed above, there are several other events such as a science show, disaster prevention demonstrations, talks and crafts planned for the period. You can see the full line up on the official website.
