Misato Summer Festival | MISATO

The Misato Summer Festival is the 7th most popular fireworks in Saitama. Approximately 14000 fireworks are launched. Before the fireworks there is usually a show with some performances.
The 2019 date is Friday August 23rd in Edogawa Undo Park. The fireworks will be postponed in the event of heavy rain. Morning of 23rd update – despite the rain they are currently (10:23 am) still planning to go ahead. However, the main viewing area is water logged. There are still tickets left in the charged viewing area. Please check with the official site for further changes / up-to-date information .
The event kicks off at 4.30 pm with the stage performances. There is a children’s dance performance followed by some live music. The Fireworks opening ceremony is at 7 pm and the launch is from 7.15 pm. It finishes up around 8.30 pm.
Access Misato Summer Festival
Approximately 10 minutes on foot from JR Musashino LIne’s Misato station. Map in the grey details box at the bottom of the post.
There are free shuttle buses to Misato Chuo station when the fireworks are finished. They run between 8 pm and 9.30 pm. The ride is about 40 minutes due to the pedestrian traffic the buses go much slower than normal.
