Saitama Ice Arena Special Prices for Saitama Day | AGEO

November 14, 2018 @ 10:00 - 18:00

Saitama Ice Arena Ice skating Seibu

Since its opening just a few short years ago, Saitama Ice Arena in Ageo (which replaced the old prefectural rink in Kawagoe) offers special discount prices on Saitama Day. Saitama Day or Prefecturaly Day or Saitama Prefecture day is on the 14th of November every year. A number of special events is held each year. And a lot of municipal attractions offer free or discounted entry.

You can find more information on the places that are free in on Saitama day in this article:

Places you can enjoy for free on Saitama Day

Saitama Ice Arena on Prefecture Day

As for Saitama Ice Arena: they offer a “one coin” entry fee of 500 yen and free skate rental for citizens of Saitama Prefecture. That is quite a saving; normally it costs 1,100 yen for adults for entry and 500 yen for skate rental. Children are usually 600 yen rink cost and 500 yen for skates. So you save 1,100 yen for adult skating and 600 yen for children.

Saitama Ice Arena Access

The skate rink is about a 30 minute walk from JR Takasaki line’s  Ageo Station.  A taxi takes about 10 minutes from that station. The New Shuttle line’s Haraichi and Shonan stations are marginally closer on foot.
