However, even if it doesn’t, the park may still be open for people to enjoy the hydrangea in bloom. As was the situation in 2020. An estimated 563,000 people come to see the hydrangea in Satte over the course of the flower festival in a regular year. The park opened officially in 2011. But some of the flora and fauna (including the cherry blossoms) have existed long before that. They added a multipurpose athletic grounds and a playground when the park was officially opened. The playground is a good half hour walk from the hydrangea though. Moreover, currently the playground is off limits due to the Coronavirus. The smaller pieces of equipment can be used again from May 16th. The larger piece of equipment, including the boat, cannot be used until mid June 2021.
There is a goat pen near where the flowers bloom were children can view the goats for free. Due to the pandemic, you can currently walk among them or interact with them. There is a cafe near the main car park for the flower viewing. However, it has been closed on and off due to the pandemic.
