Ichigo No Sato Barrier Free Sightseeing Strawberry Farm

December 27, 2019 @ 10:00 - April 11, 2020 @ 15:00

Strawberry Picking Moroyama – Ichigo No Sato Moroyama Barrier Free Sightseeing Strawberry Farm has been on the radar last year as it has had a few famous people visit and it featured on some TV programs. There are two things that I personally like about this farm: that it is open from early December (although picking is from around the 20th) and that it is child friendly.

Where in Saitama can I pick strawberries in December?

Ichigo no Sato Moroyama Barrier Free Sightseeing Strawberry Farm is one of the earliest to open. It usually starts selling strawberries from early December and picking often starts in mid December. It depends greatly on the weather and other conditions so the date will not be confirmed until a couple of weeks before they expect to open.

Strawberry Picking Moroyama: Ichigo no Sato opening information

The farm opens from December, but initially it is to sell strawberries and take bookings for Christmas cake. They usually start advertising in early December.

The Strawberry farm has 2 greenhouses, both require booking in advance. Saido is barrier free so you can use wheelchairs and buggies. The toilet also has a wider entrance and support for wheelchair users. Nishiokubo has a kid’s space that is popular. It also has a toilet for customer’s use.

The farm has some additional services such as ice-cream and chocolate toppings provided to dip your strawberries into. There are tables and you can help yourself to drinks.  For an extra cost you can participate in cooking classes, such as jam-making.
