Summer Carnival | Tsurugashima

July 21 @ 14:00 - 21:00

The 2018 Summer Carnival in Tsurugashima will take place on Saturday the 21st of July. Due to the heat wave the scheduled children’s performances have been cancelled. All other performances will go ahead.

This colourful carnival, just a minute from Tsurugashima station, is quite different from the traditional festivals at this time of year, but just as fun and vivacious. There is the traditional element in the form of Awa Folk Dance, but the main attraction of the festival is the Samba dance. About 20,000 people visit this festival annually.
