Grape picking at Tokorozawa Vineyard annually from early August to mid September. The start date of the 2023 season is Monday August 7th. They hope to remain open until mid September. Please do check with the official site for any last minute changes.
Grape Picking Tokorozawa Vineyard
Due to its frequent appearance on television and in travel books, the Tokorozawa vineyard is a popular destination for people on a fruit picking day trip from not only Saitama, but neighboring prefectures including Tokyo.
During picking season the vineyard is open daily. There is some small play equipment that young children can use. Some other merits of this vineyard:
- It is normally okay to bring a bento and eat it there, but it may be influenced by the situation with the pandemic.
- You can also pick on a rainy day as they have covered vines.
- Wheelchair, buggy and stroller friendly.
- Toilet on site.
- Pet friendly.
Normally no booking required, but please check with the official site during this pandemic period. They do not have anything to that effect on their website at the moment, but it may change. I advise, if in doubt, that you ring them before you visit. The phone number is :04-2944-1556.

The vineyard is an approximate 25 minute walk (or 5 minutes in a taxi) from Musashino line’s Higashi Tokorozawa station.
By car it is only 5 minutes from the Tokorozawa Interchange of the Kanetsu Expressway. There is parking for 35 cars.
