Craft Gyoza Fes

This year in October the Craft Gyoza Fes is coming back to Saitama Super Arena’s Keyaki Hiroba. The Craft Gyoza Fes is a travelling food fair, with the tagline “endless Gyoza”. If you are a fan of Gyoza, here is your chance to try many different types and flavors! Apologies to subscribers who will get this post into their inbox twice – there was some technical issue that I’ve never seen before. The original post, which was scheduled in advanced, published with just a photo, even though there is text on the backend! After several attempts to fix it, I had to concede and write the post as a brand new post.

Craft Gyoza Fes 2023

Gyoza is Japanese dumplings – one of my personal favorites. They can be boiled, fried, steamed or grilled. And at this annual Gyoza fair in Saitama Super Arena, you can try all of the above, and then some! There are dozens of different types of Gyoza on offer across eighteen stalls. Flavors range from the core ground meat and cabbage with typical seasonings, to more extravagant condiments such as walnuts or wasabi.

There is no entry fee into the event, so you don’t have to commit – come along and see if any of them take your fancy! And if several take your fancy – well, you have six days to try out as many as you like! They usually sell some rice as well, to compliment the gyoza. And there are different types of dipping sauces. Moreover, as the event is sponsored by Dewar, you can also get some whisky at this event. Whiskey X Gyoza… seems very fitting for this Irish gal living in Japan!

Please note that in 2023, the event is cashless.
