For the third year in a row the Koshigaya Fireworks have been cancelled due to the pandemic. There will be no Koshigaya Fireworks in 2022.
The 2020 Koshigaya fireworks were scheduled for (the much earlier than usual date of) May 16th 2020, but due to the Coronavirus outbreak they were cancelled.
2019 information
Koshigaya Fireworks 2019 – The tentative date for the Koshigaya 2019 Fireworks is July 27th (as of March 3rd 2019). It will be confirmed later in the year. Approximately 5000 fireworks will be launched, weather permitting, between 19.00 and 20.50. The main viewing area opens around 5 pm.

Unreserved seating space is free, but for a prime location on the wooden deck viewing area you can reserve a seat in advance. It costs 7,000 yen for one seat. They can be purchased on Lawson’s ticketing machines once the date has been confirmed, subject to availability.
This event attracts about 250,000 spectators annually.

Koshigaya Fireworks Access
The viewing site is along the Motoara River close to the city hall. It is about a 6 to 7 minute walk from the east exit of the Skytree Line’s Koshigaya station. There is a map in the grey details box at the bottom of the post.
