They cancelled the Koshigaya Fireworks three years in a row (2020 – 2022) due to the pandemic. But this year, they are on!
Koshigaya Fireworks 2023
The date for the 2023 Koshigaya fireworks has been set as Saturday July 29th. This event attracts about 250,000 spectators annually. It is the first time in four years that the fireworks will be on. Approximately 5000 fireworks will be launched, weather permitting, between 19.00 and 20.50. The main viewing area opens around 5 pm.
Unreserved seating space is free, but for a prime location on the wooden deck viewing area you can reserve a seat in advance. Before the pandemic, it cost 7,000 yen for one seat. However, information for the reserved area in 2023 is not yet available. Normally, they can be purchased on Lawson’s ticketing machines closer to the time.

Access
The viewing site is along the Motoara River close to the Koshigaya Central Citizen’s Hall. (Named as Koshigaya Central City Hall in English on Google Maps). It is about a six to seven minute walk from the east exit of the Skytree Line’s Koshigaya station. There is no official parking for this event and they request you come by public transport.
