I had so many events I wanted to get out in a timely manner for this weekend, including Yorii Autumn Festival, but it wasn’t to be. But the festival is on again tomorrow so I am going to make this post live again (I unpublished it during the pandemic) for anyone who lives in the area, and so it will be searchable for next year. Sorry for such short notice.
Yorii Autumn Festival 2023
The festival is a traditional type festival in a rural setting. The line up includes music, a variety of floats, a parade and festival stalls. The floats are on display from about 3 pm to about 8 pm on both days, but there are other events before that on the Sunday. Such as lion dance performances from midday for about an hour. Before the pandemic, the festival attracted about 7,000 spectators each year. As far as I am aware, this is the first time in four years the festival has been on.

there seem to be so many events on this year – I think you do a great job at promoting as many as you do Lynda!
