I love when I stumble upon gems like this Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Pop up in Kawagoe City. It just started today. Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is a popular American doughnuts chain with several branches in Japan. There are, as far as I am aware, only five branches in Saitama Prefecture. The nearest is relatively far from me, in Omiya Lumine, Saitama City. Actually, three of the five branches are located in Saitama City. The other two are in Koshigaya and Kawaguchi.
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Pop Up in Kawagoe
The pop up in Kawagoe that started today is for Valentines and will only be available until Valentine’s Day itself, Tuesday February 14th. It is being hosted on the 5th floor of Maruhiro Department Store. At the pop up you can buy either the original glazed hallmark Krispy Kreme doughnuts or the Valentine’s limited edition doughnuts. They sell them by the dozen, half dozen and you can also purchase a set with either three or two.
Added after the post was initially published, further to Maruhiro adding a post to their Instagram:
The pop up is part of the larger and longer running Valentine Chocolat Museum. There is also a Dean & Deluca Pop up for the occasion. The Valentine Chocolat Museum started on January 28th and will end on the same day as the Krispy Kreme Pop up.

i wouldnt want to criticise krispy creme… but in fairness they are somewhat over rated i feel. still if youre looking for something familiar!
You know I don’t think we had them in Ireland, but I could be wrong. I think the novelty of them appeals here, as we’ve only a few branches. I prefer Japan’s ‘Misdo’ Mr Donut
