On the Sunday, there will be a Samba Parade too.

Fukaya Industry Festival

In order for citizens to experience the produce of Fukaya, nicknamed the agricultural kingdom, the Fukaya Industry festival presents various content related to agriculture that allows visitors to “know”, “buy” and “taste”. To this end, there is a large farmers market. They will also have an antique fair. In addition, you can enjoy such things as live entertainment, cooking shows, eating competitions, tractor photo spot and bale carrying. There is an Anpanman show for kids in the live entertainment line up.

More than just an industry festival, it is also a celebration of Shibusawa Eiichi. Shibusawa Eiichi was a world famous industrialist known as the father or Japanese capitalism, who hailed from the Hanzawa District, which is now part of Fukaya City. We have known for sometime that Shibusawa Eiichi will feature on the new 10,000 yen note, but those new notes will finally come into circulation next year, 2024.

At the same time as the Industry festival there will also be a music event “Negirock”. And on the Sunday of the festival, November 12th, they will have a samba parade.
