Information for the 2023 Autumn Night Zoo, formerly called the Halloween Night Zoo, and special seasonal events, including Halloween, at Tobu Zoo. Tobu Zoo added more dates and scheduled the night parade at a later date and that information has been added below.
Tobu Night Zoo
The Tobu Autumn Night Zoo is on two of the long weekends in Autumn; one weekend in September, the other in October. At a later date they also added the weekend before Halloween to the schedule too. In addition, they also scheduled the night parade for one night in October.
At this event, you can see dozens of animals at night, which is a completely different experience than during the day. Moreover, they have special night time animal feedings. You can feed the elephants¹, penguins and white tigers dinner for an additional fee. They also have animal shows as the sun starts to set. In addition, there are special night time talks, from the keepers of certain pens including penguins, rhinoceros, lions and white tigers.
¹In October they posted to say they have cancelled the October dates for the elephant night feeding.

September Night Zoo 2023
Apart from the feedings and night tours, there are a few other events you can enjoy. For example, for the September night zoo they will also have a “Beer and Gourmet Garden” on the three days. The September Night zoo is on from Saturday September 16th to public holiday Monday September 18th. Apart from the feedings and night tours, throughout the period there is Halloween illumination in the Heartful Garden.
Halloween Night Zoo 2023
For the October bank holiday weekend and (added at a later date) the weekend before Halloween, they will also have Halloween events, and the Halloween illumination mentioned above will also be on. The popular Halloween Night Parade is now scheduled for Sunday August 29th 2023. It is on for 30 minutes from 6.30 pm. They will have Ghost stories by Kamishibai on October 7th and 8th.
Moreover, on the weekend before Halloween, on Saturday October 28th, they will also switch on the winter illumination. The winter illumination in Tobu Zoo is one of the largest in the Kanto plain. Moreover, the illumination involves a LED vision performance laser and projection mapping show, that is the largest of its kind in the Kanto area.

They seem to be particularly careful in Australia. Hopefully it will pay off. Four more weeks…. the light at the end of the tunnel.
That’s great that people can see the Halloween Parade. 🎃 and a quick visit to the Zoo. I happy I found your site.
Likewise… I’m glad I found your site too 😊
And I am following your site now.
Thank you so much 🙂 I’m following you too.
I notice you are not following my site.
Sorry… I get your posts into my reader, but I must have added your url manually… I am now following directly from your website… by clicking the follow button on your homepage. Very sorry about that. I didn’t have Jetpack for a few years so I got in the habit of copying links into my reader, which I now know thanks to you, doesn’t show for those blogs as a “follow”. Thank you for pointing this out to me.
That’s great that we can Follow each other. I love reading you site ..
