Tobu Super Pool

Tobu Super Pool is one of the many offerings of what is officially called the Tobu Hybrid Park, but most commonly referred to as Tobu Zoo park. The pools are officially located in Shiraoka City, but as the vast majority of the Tobu Zoo park is in Miyashiro City they use the latter as their address. In both 2020 and 2021 Tobu was one of only a handful of pools that opened for business. They are open again in 2022…

Tobu Super Pools 2022

The Tobu Super Pools opened earlier today, Saturday July 2nd, for the 2022 season. They will open until September 4th. However, in both July and September the pools are only open on weekends and public holidays. Furthermore, just like in 2020 and 2021, due to the Coronavirus you must secure a ticket in advance, with an allocated date and time on it. On account of the pandemic they are only allowing a certain number of people in each day. Thus you need to book a place through their online system here. Also, they may not have any additional events and there may not be rental equipment this year. That was the situation in 2020 and 2021 too.

The pools are generally open from early July (except in 2020) to early September every summer, which is longer than the average outdoor aqua park. However, they only open on the weekends for the first two weeks and again for the last week. But in 2021 and 2022 they will only open on weekends and public holidays in July. And in September they are only open the weekend of the 3rd. Hours are from 9.30 am to 5 pm. The entrance to the super pool is beside the west gate of the zoo.

The Tobu Super Pool has lots of fun features, but it is surprisingly quite small. The children’s pool is particularly large though and very entertaining for kids. There is a current pool, a wave pool and four water slides.

10th most popular in all of Japan

In 2022, Walker Plus Magazine have awarded the Tobu Super Pool tenth place on their annual Walker Pool Awards List. The most popular on that list is also in Saitama Prefecture. You can see where here!

Tobu Super Pool Cost

Despite being smaller than other aqua parks in Saitama, it is a lot more expensive. You have to pay into the park (either an entry ticket or a one day pass) and the pool; you can’t just pay into the pool. If you already have a park entry ticket or pass, it costs an additional 1,300 yen for adults and 700 yen for children to enter the pool. If you don’t have a pass it costs 3100 yen for an adult, 2500 yen for high school students and 1500 yen for children. In 2021 (and 2020) you must purchase the pool ticket in advance online. You can’t get an entry ticket at the gate.
