Tobu Super Pool is one of the many offerings of what is officially called the Tobu Hybrid Park, but most commonly referred to as Tobu Zoo park. The pools are officially located in Shiraoka City, but as the vast majority of the Tobu Zoo park is in Miyashiro City they use the latter as their address. In both 2020 and 2021 Tobu was one of only a handful of pools that opened for business. However, between 2020 and 2023 you had to buy a ticket in advance. That is, it was impossible to just turn up and buy a ticket at the door. The information that is currently available for 2024 is outlined below:

Tobu Super Pools 2024

The pools at Tobu Super Pool open longer than the average outdoor aqua park and are usually the first to open each year. And this year they are opening extra early – at the end of June! However, from Saturday June 29th until mid July the pools are only open on weekends and public holidays. From July 20th they will open daily until September 1st 2024. Currently, there is no mention of a need to buy your ticket in advance. For the last four years you had to secure a ticket in advance as they limited the number of people they let in each day. It looks promising, that this year, for the first time in five years, you will be able to buy a ticket at the gate. Fingers crossed.

In 2023, for the first time, they had different prices during the season. That is, they had four different prices with peak season “A” (yellow on the calendar) the most expensive. “A” is generally weekends in August and the seven days around Obon. If they have that system again this year, you will have to consult a calendar to get prices for that date. Hours are from 9.30 am to 5 pm. The entrance to the super pool is beside the west gate of the zoo.

The Tobu Super Pool has lots of fun features, but it is surprisingly quite small. The children’s pool is particularly large though and very entertaining for kids. There is a current pool, a wave pool and four water slides.

10th most popular in all of Japan

In 2022, Walker Plus Magazine have awarded the Tobu Super Pool tenth place on their annual Walker Pool Awards List. The most popular on that list is also in Saitama Prefecture. You can see where here!

Despite being smaller than other aqua parks in Saitama, it is a lot more expensive. Apart from the price of the pool, you also need to pay for an entry ticket (unless you have an annual pass). The 2024 prices have not yet been released. Last year, the pool prices started from 1000 yen per adult and 300 yen for children for a date and time designated ticket. However, the dates and times for that are very limited. The most expensive “A” tickets cost 2000 yen per adult and 1300 yen for elementary school aged children.
