Outdoor cafe Yamagoya in Ageo

The name is quite misleading. Outdoor cafe yamagoya is not outdoors. In fact, it only has three small wobbly tables outdoors. Which are right on the road. From indoors you do have a view a small bamboo forest. I think it is more that they designed the cafe on the interior of a log cabin that they gave it “outdoor” in the name. That is, outdoor living feels!

Outdoor Cafe Yamagoya

Disclaimer: its actually three years since I last visited here. But between one thing or another this post got lost in drafts! However, I did write a review for it in real time on City-cost and this post expands on that. Moreover, the cafe is still going strong, so I decided to publish it as the current theme of the morning posts on the Facebook page is “places to eat in Saitama”!

It was during the pandemic when we visited so we sat outdoors although it was a cold day and the three tables had evidently not been used for months! We had a nice view of some flowers though! The interior was lovely though, and very homely. It looked very comfortable. There was an amiable atmosphere and I imagine that some of the customers are regulars the way they were talking to the barista. The cafe is particularly known for its coffee supposedly. It is also known for its homemade cakes and tarts. If you’ll pardon the pun, this post is short and sweet! Here after the pertinent information for the cafe and a map:
