Events on every day of September are listed under ‘daily events’. After that, events listed by date, when they are added. I don’t repeat the daily events under the date, so be sure to check both lists!

Events on every day of September 2026 in Saitama

When I say everyday, I mean every day that an attraction is open. Often locations close on a Monday or one or two other days in the week. The list is split into “Pick Up”, (all other) “Daily Events” and “Water Play”.

Pick up

Of the events on daily in September, the ones that I most recommend for their beauty or enjoyment level, and have visited personally every year. They are in order of their location:

Shinrin Park did not grow Coleus, or anything in their place, this year. They have grown salvia and celosia in other parts of the park. The latter won’t start blooming until around mid-September.

There is a note up at the Tsurgashima Sports Park that the water play area has been turned off, reason not given. Hidaka City’s excellent babbling brook will end on August 31st this year.

Weekend events during September + big weekday events

Hereafter, events on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, as well as the larger festivals and events that fall on Fridays or other weekdays. In addition, anything in the daily list is also on, if the venue is open. Often attractions are closed one day a week, with Monday closures being the most common. Also, bear in mind, some of these events are dependent on the weather (including temperatures)! Always check the official website, linked within each post, for any last minute changes or cancellations. The ⇗ symbol in front of a link indicates that the link is to an external, usually Japanese language, source. A ★ in front of the event name indicates it’s an event of note.

The Biggest Event of the Month

The biggest event in September annually is undoubtedly the Kinchakuda Manjushage (Higanbana / Spider lily) Festival. The festival doesn’t start until September 21st, but they are currently planning to start charging into the colony from September 17th. That date maybe brought forward, or moved back, depending on the condition of the flowers.
