Panda Go Panda exhibition Saitama Prefecture

Each year the stunning Kadokawa Culture Museum have a child friendly exhibition during the period of the summer holidays. It is on in what they used to call the EJ Anime Museum, but the EJ Anime Museum hasn’t had any exhibitions in months. Moreover, they are no longer calling it that, so I think they are going for a rebrand! Regardless, this year they will have a fun exhibition in the space. The 2025 summer exhibition on the third floor of Kadokawa Culture (Musashino) Museum is Panda! Go Panda! Panda! Kopanda as its called in Japanese, is a popular animated classic family film by the legendary Hayao Miyazaki (Ghibli).

Panda Kopanda / Panda! Go Panda Exhibition

The Panda Kopanda exhibition starts on the first day of summer holidays: Saturday July 19th 2025. It is on until the end of August. This exhibition is an experiential exhibition that introduces the world of the classic fantasy that celebrated 50 years in 2022, but it is still loved today. Even if you haven’t seen the movie, they suggest even panda lovers will find it interesting.

In addition to valuable materials from the time of its release, some of the production materials such as setting materials and image boards are exhibited. They have recreated scenes from the movie to allow you to enjoy the work more deeply. For example, the corner of the dining room where the story is set. They have a large three dimensional Panda and plenty of fun photo spots. The exhibition, which has been showcased in other locations, will have some unique to Tokorozawa Sakura Town elements. For example, the Kadocafe and the Reiwa Musashino Shrine in Sakura Town will have collaborative items.
