The Ranzan Summer Festival was on between 2022 and 2024. But then they decided not to have it in 2025. However, thankfully its back in 2026, but it will be on in September. It’s not the first time they’ve had the summer festival in Autumn: in 2022 it was on in October!
Ranzan Summer Festival
The 2026 Ranzan Summer festival is on for one day: Saturday September 26th. It is a local type summer traditional festival, but they do have a mikoshi (palanquin or portable shrine). The festival starts at 3 pm, but the mikoshi is usually drawn from 5 pm – currently they are not providing specifics for 2026. They used to have a children’s mikoshi too, but there is no mention of it this year. However, there is very little information at all for this festival. Just a couple of lines on the Ranzan Tourist website. In previous years, the Ranzan Commerce / Industry website, also provided information, but they haven’t even posted about the summer festival for 2026 yet.

Venue: On the old route 254 near the West exit of Tobu Tojo Line’s Musashi Ranzan station. The Saishin bank is pretty much the central point of the festival area: 427 Sugaya, Ranzan, Hiki District, Saitama 355-0221. View on Google maps.
Access
There is no official parking lots shared. The festival is just a minute or two walk from the West exit of the Tobu Tojo Line’s Musashi Ranzan Station. If you are visiting with kids they opened a new playground, “Ranmaru Park”, near the station earlier in the year.
