Kawazuzakura today in Saitama Prefecture

I’ve shared several photos in stories (Facebook / Instagram) in the last 48 hours that I have got relatively a lot of queries about. I will eventually share all of the locations on Instagram and Facebook pages, but not in the next 24 hours. So exclusively for insaitama.com reader’s only: real time information for the location of the photos posted recently on social media. Including the location of the stunning kawazuzakura in the feature photo above. Another photo from the location below too. As well the locations of Kawazu, plum blossoms and hanachozu in Kitamoto and plum blossoms and kawazu sakura in Okegawa.

Today’s Kawazuzakura (March 10th 2025)

Kawazuzakura today

See ‘ALL’ the people! To most people this isn’t crowded, but I am so used to having the kawazuzakura I visit all to myself, that this is a lot of people to me! And the last time I visited this location a couple of years ago, there was only one or two people there. As you can see in the photo above, there is more than ten people, but there were even more at different areas along the stretch of the kawazu cherry blossoms. This is the most people I have encountered while kawazuzakura chasing so far this year. Sometimes I will come across one, two, even three people, but more than ten is very unusual for me. The location of the kawazu cherry blossoms pictured above and in the feature photo at the top of the post: here.

Yesterday’s Kawazuzakura (March 9th 2025)

Kawazuzakura and plum blossoms along the Kamakura Kaido in Kitamoto. There are also kawazuzakura back-dropped by bamboo. And nearby you can see the below hanachozu at this shrine.

I also went to a few other locations, including Rakusato no Kai. The kawazuzakura there only had one or two blossoms partially open on a few trees. Across the road in Shiroyama Park the plum blossoms were blooming beautifully. Moreover, the wintersweet were still in bloom, although well past their prime and drying up. But the yellow x pink was incredible:

Have you seen any kawazuzakura in Saitama prefecture yet this year?
