The 20th Annual Fukaya Flower and Open Garden Festa is on this weekend, all things equal. The last time it was on as normal was the 16th annual flower festival in 2019! However, between 2020 and 2022 they did have a festival lite. This year, it is more like a pre pandemic event. The flower and open garden festival is held in many different locations throughout Fukaya and each location has different events planned. Moreover, in 2023, the main venue will be the new Fukaya Terrace Park for the first time ever. Fukaya Open Terrace will be celebrating its one year anniversary next month – it opened in May 2022.
Fukaya Flower Festa events
The 20th annual Fukaya Flower and Open Garden Festa is on Saturday April 29th and Sunday April 30th 2023. As this is the first year at a new location, there maybe some changes to the usual line up. However, they have confirmed they will have food stalls and live entertainment on the day. There are usually lots of craft and hands on workshops including, but not limited to, bonsai displays and gardening classes. They normally also have events for children.

Open Gardens
April 29th and 30th are not the only days you can tour private gardens in Fukaya. This element of the festival is also on select dates, on Saturdays and Sundays, in May. In 2023 they are:
- May 6th and 7th
- May 13th and 14th
- May 20th and 21st
