Mt Ryokami Fumoto Hana no Sato – Dahlia Garden 2020

The Chichibu area is known for its Dahlia. The Dahlia Garden at Mt Ryokami Fumoto Hana no Sato is one of the largest and most popular places to see Dahlia in Saitama.
Mt Ryokami Dahlia Garden
The Dahlia Garden at Mt Ryokami opens annually in Autumn. It generally opens from September 1st until November 3rd. The park opens from 9 am to 4.30 pm during the period of the dahlia festival. They opened as planned on September 1st, but they do not have their usual flower festival. They sometimes close on days of heavy rain and with the current pandemic, they advise you check the most up-to-date information on the official website before setting out for the day.
There are 350 types of dahlia with 5000 dahlia in total grown over 10,000 m². They grow rarely seen type of dahlia. They sell dahlia too. Entry to the park costs 400 yen per adult. Parking is free.
Access
They normally have a shuttle bus that goes to the dahlia garden from Mitsumineguchi station. However, in 2020 on account of the Coronavirus they are not offering that service. There is a public bus that goes from Seibu Chichibu station. However, please note it is very infrequent (once a day on a weekday). Free parking available for 50 cars.
